Frappuccinos can be found in Starbucks all over the world, and one of the best things about that is that each country has their own special flavors. One country in particular, has done a standout job – Japan. Just in the past year, they’ve come up with so many delicious and wonderful concoctions that look as pretty as they are tasty. They come up with themes that match with their drinks. What’s also interesting, is that they use flavors that are quite unique to Japan and use ingredients that are in season (for example using Sweet Potato in the fall).

Here are a list of some of the best Starbucks Frappuccinos Japan has to offer:

1) Peach Pink Fruit Frappuccino

Released in the summer, this pink drink is flavored with guava puree, pink grapefruit, peaches and strawberries, topped with a generous amount of whipped cream. Perfect for fruit lovers and pink things. Summer couldn’t be any sweeter with this Frappuccino.

2) Crispy Sweet Potato Frappuccino

This sweet potato drink is probably something that people who haven’t tried Japanese sweet potato, might find a bit odd. But if you have tried it, you probably think this is the best creation ever made… Japanese sweet potato is more of a dessert to me than those that I’ve had in other countries. The texture is just a bit creamier and the flavor is just perfectly sweet. This is probably the Frappuccino I was most excited about actually. Flavored with candied sweet potato and roasted sweet potato, each sip brings out a little taste of autumn.

3) Witch and Princess Frappuccino

How do you choose between TWO flavors?! For Halloween, Starbucks Japan came out with two drinks that was an absolute fairy tale. The Witch and Princess Frappuccino. Both flavors are a take on the candy apple (only fitting, as Snow White and the Witch had a tiff with an apple). The Halloween Witch Frappuccino actually looks witchy, if you know what I mean. And the Halloween Princess Frappuccino looked very much like a princess with it’s pink hue and pearl decorations.

According to Business Insider the Witch Frappuccino is flavored with:

red apple compote, crumbled caramel cookies, chocolate swirls, and whipped cream.

The Princess Frappuccino on the other hand, had a more softer taste with:

a white mocha-infused apple compote base, whipped cream, and pearl-like sprinkles.

4) Pistachio Christmas Tree Frappuccino

This one is made with pistachio milk roasted, whipped cream, topped with macadamia nuts to add a crunch and drizzled with raspberry sauce. With the green from pistachio and red from the raspberry – it certainly looks festive and just like a Christmas tree! Warning: cannot enjoy if you’re allergic to nuts!

5) White Chocolate Snow Frappuccino

This Frappuccino made me excited for snow. It not only mimics snow, but its sparkles like snowflakes. With silver chocolate pearls, it adds for decadence as well as a crunch in texture. It combines white chocolate and marshmallow to bring a warm taste of winter. Sign me up for one of these please.

6) Christmas Cake Frappuccino

In Japan, having strawberry cake during Christmas time is incredibly popular. So it was only appropriate for Starbucks to come out with a Frappuccino that was an ode to the Strawberry Christmas cake that have stolen the hearts of many. This drink offers strawberry sauce base, mixed with milk and topped with whipped cream. The best strawberry milk I’ve ever had.

7) Sakura Strawberry Pink Mochi Frappuccino

Saving probably the best, for last is this drink. So unique to Japan, cherry blossoms are a staple to Japanese culture. It’s a wonderful springtime beverage and for those who have never tried cherry blossom flavor, visit Japan to try this one-of-a-kind Frappuccino. According to Sora news 24 ,

cherry blossom-flavored sticky rice pieces can be found scattered throughout the entire drink, and on its Sakura mochi sauce whipped topping, which, when combined with the crunchy strawberry chocolate chips,

creating a masterpiece of cherry blossom goodness.
